Today’s Blessing Prayer: Divine Mercy Sunday greetings and blessings to all! I hope you are navigating through these Eater days with faith and a sense of hopefulness and joy.
As we begin our Sunday and continue our journey through this Easter season, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) I would ask that if you are reading this sometime Sunday morning that you stop and offer a little prayer for me. At 7:00 am I will begin a 10-mile run in Washington DC. It is the Cherry Blossom 10 miler. Just say a little prayer that all the runners including myself have a fun and safe run. Your thoughts and prayer will be greatly appreciated! I pray that God will bless you Sunday with the richness of the mercy and joy of Risen Christ and the joy of God’s merciful love. On this Second Sunday of Easter, Divine Mercy Sunday, may our Good and Gracious God bless you and protect you from the struggles and perils of life. May the God who so loves us that he gave us his only Son touch you with that love today and always. And through the joyous grace of Christ may God lead you to the banquet of lasting joy. Amen – Alleluia! Enjoy your day, don't forget to give God a little time today and I hope wherever you are the sun is out and the day will be warm and full of the colors of spring! Peace in Christ's Passion - Joy in the Risen Lord...Fr. Paul
