Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings and blessings to everyone! I hope this finds you well and enjoying the gift of a new day. If not, if things are a little rushed, disorganized and you feel like you have gotten off on the wrong foot, hang in there, you are in my prayers and I will take your struggles with me into my new day with the hope that all will be well by the end of the day!
. Today is a travel day for me. After celebrating mass at the Wartburg Home this morning I will head out for Fairfax, VA to visit with my niece and her family for Thanksgiving. It is about a five-hour trip if I don’t hit traffic. So, I ask you prayers for safe travel today. If you are beginning your Thanksgiving travel today, please be safe! The weather people say we are in for morning clouds and afternoon sun and chilly temperatures. At least there will be no rain or snow for my travels! I hope the weather by you will be energizing and life giving for you today. So in the midst of whatever this day will bring let us go forward into this new day whether it has started off well or not by asking for God's blessing on all that we will do and upon all whom we meet but also let's ask God's blessing upon us that like Zacchaeus we will not miss the gift of God in our life today! Loving God, bless our families, our friends and all your faithful people so that we, like Zacchaeus will always try to live your truth; express your love by our lives; share your passion by our enthusiasm; take action with your grace; walk by faith; dance and sing to the gift of your spirit and embrace your unimaginable blessings. Help us make today worth remembering because we know that you created us out of love. God's blessings on your day everyone! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer:
Welcome, welcome, welcome. I welcome everything that comes to me today because I know it’s for my healing. I welcome all thoughts, feelings, emotions, persons, situations, and conditions. I let go of my desires for power and control. I let go of my desire for affection, esteem, approval, and pleasure. I let go of my desire for survival and security. I let go of my desire to change any situation, condition, person, or myself. I open to the love and presence of God and God’s action within. Amen (Welcoming Prayer by Mary Mrozowski) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to everyone! I hope you had a restful, relaxing and or productive weekend. Perhaps just resting and relaxing was the productivity that you needed!
Our day here in the New York area seems to be starting as a cloudy day though occasionally, the sun peeks through. It is chilly out, but I would not call it cold. I hope weather wise you day is a bit better! We have entered Thanksgiving week and the beginning of the holiday season. It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is approaching, and Christmas and the New Year will not be far behind. I pray today that the holidays will not come and go too quickly and that all of us will find the time to be thankful and enjoy the gifts of family, friends and the presence of God in our life. Yes, you will have to give a lot of time to shopping and preparing but also try to give some time to God throughout this holiday season! My prayer of blessing for everyone today is that during our journey through Thanksgiving, Advent, Christmas and the New Year God will bless us with the grace of a first love, of the gift of sight so that we might let go of the demons of terrorism, hate, racism, anger, bigotry and vengeance so that we might see all people as God’s gifts and have a faith that not only saves us but that brings peace to our life and the life of the world! Have a wonderful day and many blessings to see and love today and always! Peace in Christ's Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: God of Great Mystery, Giver of all good gifts, enliven our hearts with that first love of you, so that we might see all that is good in our world, in one another and in ourselves. Deepen our sense of reverence for you and for all of life. Nurture in us what is good and grace us in your ever-loving care this day and always! Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your Sunday is going along well? I am sorry for my late reflections today. Yesterday was a very long day and I did not make it home to midnight and was up and off to Chappaqua, NY for mass this morning. So, this is my first chance to put my thoughts for the day together.
It is an overcast and chilly day here in New York. One of those day you just want to stay inside and rest if you can. I hope the weather by you is a little energy producing and that the sun is a bit more present. My prayer of blessing today is that whatever you are doing this Sunday, relaxing, watching football, working, traveling, getting ready for the holiday week ahead or just being, I pray that God’s blessing will be upon your Sunday filling it with the richness of joy, hope and the goodness of God’s presence. May the presence of God bring joy to your heart today! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Keep us safe, O God, you are our hope in the midst of trials and temptations. Through faith in your wisdom and love, we know that our hearts will be glad, our souls will rejoice, and our bodies will abide in confidence. Amen (Adapted from a prayer by Fr. Carroll Stuhlmueller, C.P)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Saturday greetings and blessings to all. I hope your Saturday is getting off to a good start. We seem to be in for a cold by nice day here in the New York area. I hope the same is true by you.
Around 10:30 am this morning I will head out for Ridgefield, CT where I will celebrate a 1:00 pm wedding at St. Mary’s Church. Please keep Lisa and Michael along with their families and friends as they celebrate this wonderful day in their life. Also, if you could say a little prayer for the celebrant and preacher it would be greatly appreciated! May your Saturday be blessed with the warmth of the sun lighting up the beauty of God’s creation and the warmth of many smiles greeting you and guiding you through the gift of all the experiences that this day will bring. May your day be rich in the blessings of God’s grace, mercy, hope, joy and love wherever you go and in and through whomever you meet. And may you always be blessed in finding God’s presence within yourself! Have a great Saturday with many blessings and much peace! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God, may your overabundance of mercy, patience and grace lead us through the many obstacles that we place in the way of your love today and always! Today’s Blessing Prayer: Friday greetings and blessing to all. I hope your Friday is starting off well. It has to be better than yesterday afternoon and evening. It was a horror story here in New York. We were not ready for the snow and it created a mess. What a way to start off winter! It doesn’t create a good vibe for what is to come!
I it is going a cold rainy and windy Friday morning but at least the road finally seem clear. It will be a busy day as I have mass at the Wartburg Home and a wedding rehearsal this evening in Ridgefield, CT. I hope the travel and weather are a bit better today. I hope all you well have a good and productive Friday and that you are looking forward to a restful and relaxing weekend. For my blessing prayer today, I am going to use an old Irish Blessing and it is my prayer for all of you today – “Deep peace of the running wave to you. Deep peace of the flowing air to you. Deep peace of the quiet earth to you. Deep peace of the shining stars to you. Deep peace of the Son of Peace to you.” Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God, we join today with every creature, every plant, every rock and grain of sand to proclaims the glory of our Creator. We celebrate this day through color, shape, scent and form. It is our multi-sensory song of praise.
God creator of all, we join with the whole of your creation in praising you through the fragrance, melody, harmony and spirit of our lives. Amen! (Adapted from a prayer found on Faith and Worship - Christian Prayers and Resources) |
